I’m creating a new site for a client who has WP. I haven’t used WP myself so I’m a little lost. Network Solutions has a “5 minute install” for WP and I followed all instructions and everything looks good. The username/pw in the wp-config.php are correct. But when I try to go to https://www.radiantbylori.com/radiantblog/wp-admin/ as instructed, it gives me a ‘Error establishing a database connection’.
It says another possibility is ‘or we can’t contact the database server at mysqlv10. This could mean your host’s database server is down.’ – anyone know an easy way (i.e. not calling customer service) to check this?

    Or any other thoughts?

    Thanks

  • Looks like you got it working. Any tips to share about how you fixed it?

I ended up calling Network Solutions – got a guy with attitude who wasn’t explaining what he was doing. I think he updated WP (though I just did that a few hours ago)?

Though I cannot, for the life of me, remember the NS login credentials for the WP portion. Might have to uninstall/reinstall. lol Now that would be funny. ??

    Thanks for the help!
