Trying to find a template…please help

  • Hello. Does anyone know of any free or to buy full featured theme+plugins that turns WordPress into a community style blog where users can register and submit articles? On the backend allows you to customize article submission forms, tag featured articles, lets users add photos to their articles, provides an alternate admin page for users so that they are not seeing the standard WP dashboard? Something along those lines.

    I’m guessing that may be something that I’ll only find in a paid version, but after hours and hours of researching I can’t find anything that feels like it matches this criteria very well.

    If anyone knows of any sites that sell templates like that, please let me know. Thank you!

  • Don’t think you will find that with Word Press. Try the Ning community. You can start your own group and may be more of what you are looking for. It would be easier for you to manage since what you have stated you want above requires a good knowledge base of what you are doing and managing.

    Thanks, that actually looks like it could do the trick, but it doesn’t look like they let you use your own domain name. ??

    You may want to check out WordPress MU. I’m not sure if it will do what you want but it’s worth checking out.
