Trying to find a starter template

  • In the templates I came a cross a great looking theme or template. I am just about, optimistically, knowledgeable enough to try and use it for the basis for my website. I came across it accidentally looking for an “About” page. By going to “Pages” –> “Add New” “Starter Templates” and then typing “About” in the “search” box and then scrolling down one can get to “About Me” for “Eric Low’s Photography”.

    I have Astra installed as my theme so by going to the page I got to as a template means it has to be an Astra Theme, correct? But I can only import the “About” template I can’t seem to get there via Starter Templates. When I am there at the top are “Pages” Patterns” and “WireFrames”. Wireframes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

    If I try and find the elusive Mr. Low’s website via “Appearance” –> “Starter Templates” it does not show up. I should have stated at the beginning I want to import the entire website.

    Hi @matonanjin,

    It is fine if you would like to import a Starter Template on your site which is not using the Astra theme. However, since our Starter Templates are initially designed with the Astra theme, you might see the result will look different from the demo. This doc will let you know more about that.

    If you would like to import only a single page/template, this doc will let you know how to do that. And if importing a complete site is what you would like to do, please refer to this doc.

    Thank you for the reply. But after 2 weeks I have moved on. FYI, that page, the “About” page that I was trying to use IS an Astra template. The question that I had was I could only download the home page, not about page.

    I could never figure out how to use it, so I’m using a different one.
