Trying to encode large amount of videos.

  • I pressed the button to encode all videos and it works for a while and then it just stops. I am trying to encode 5,000 videos, but it stops at around 1,200 or something. What should I adjust to make the videos encode as fast as possible?

    And also I get this message on some of the videos “Error: No log file”

    It’s likely you’re bumping up against your server’s PHP script execution timeout. That feature is not very robust. Are the videos still added to the queue? If they are, I’d recommend waiting for the 1200 or so videos to finish encoding then run it again. You shouldn’t get any duplicates.

    Unfortunately “Error: No log file” is a longstanding problem I’ve been told about by multiple users over the years but I’ve never been able to replicate it so I don’t know what’s causing it or how to fix it.
