    Hi,

I have updated my WP Staging plugin to V 2.1.0 this morning, and I went to delete my staging site shortly after and it wouldn’t delete, it said an error occurred.

It still appears to be there, yet when I try to visit the staging site login page I get a ‘404 Page not found’ error.

Could you please clarify why this might be happening? I had no issue cloning the site or using it.

    Thanks,
    Kym.

    Hi.

I am still having this issue. I have removed and reinstalled the plugin to version 2.1.1

I am still unable to delete or access my staging site.

I don’t want to create another one on top of that as in the past I have had issues with staging sites slowing down my speeds.

Look forward to hearing back soon, thanks.

    Kym.

    Hi,

please follow the steps described here: https://wp-staging.com/docs/troubleshooting-try-this-first/

    Hi Rene,

I did take a look at that page before sending through my support request.

Neither of those scenarios are what I am having trouble with.

I would just like to delete my staging site, but every time I try it gives me an error.

The staging site was accessible once a few weeks ago (so the cloning process was not interrupted in scenario #1), but after I tried to delete it when I was done with it, it gave me an error – and then since that error I am unable to do anything with it.

I don’t have any caching plugins to disable (for scenario #2) which seems to be the issue the link you gave me thinks it is.

I wonder if deleting my entire staging folder under the first /html folder through my FTP client would work?
Are there any risks if I do this? Anything under the /staging-site folder is simply just a clone of what is already on my website correct?

    Thanks,
    Kym.

    Hi Kym,

i am investigating into this issue.

Yes you can delete the whole folder. It will not affect your live site.

    Cheers
    René

Same Case to me, can’t delete Staging Site.
