Trying to create my own theme for website…

    I’m new to word press and I’m trying to create my own theme. To do so, I downloaded WAMP. Following an online tutorial, I created a basic webpage. Went to the page on the server and it was blank. Thinking I did something wrong, I went to the below tutorial and just dl the sample files at the bottom of the page.

    And it’s still showing a blank page.

    That was yesterday, today I went back in and now it’s saying
    “Error establishing a database connection”

    I have another PHP Test I’m working on in WAMP(not wordpress) and that’s working fine.

    Any ideas?
