Trying to align a small menu list

Now I’m using float, and that seems to work I haven’t checked in IE yet though.

1) I would like the menu to be shifted downwards so that it is more inlne with the title of the page. I tried using top margin, but that shifted the entire left content downwards

2) I’d like the links to be more spaced out. Better to do this with br or css – if the latter then how> Again I got it work but not without shifting the entire page down.

3 )I did have the menu at the bottom, but then shifted it to the side. I’m not sure if it’s suitable there. Should I place it at the bottom of the content or on the side as it is now?
