Hi, I’m having some trouble with the main menu link and Restaurant Manager plug-in.
I started testing this plugin on the fresh new installation with standard theme.
I’ve created a new Menus record (Deserts) and some “meals” in this category. After that I’ve appended “Deserts” to the menu. And that’s the problem – Deserts link /?syn_rest_menu=deserts/ returns error 404.
I can’t figure out how to fix it.
Perhaps someone here can help me out ??

    Hi Skynet2029

First, try refreshing your permalinks. This is under settings then permalinks on your WordPress admin. This just reboots your pretty permalinks.

Then create a page to display your menu. In the WordPress editor you will see a button for the restaurant manager. When you click it your will see an option for Restaurant Menu. Click this and a modal window will open. You can then filter your meals and once you click the save button in the modal the shortcode will be created for you. Save the page and then view it on your website.

If this does not solve you problem, give some more information if possible and I will try and resolve your issue.

    Thanks.

Are you just trying to view all of your desserts like a blog roll, for example when you click blog categories?

    With pretty permalinks:

    https://www.your-website.co.uk/course/dessert/

I will have a look into this for you. In the mean time you can use the shortcode to add you desserts to the page.

An example of the menu in use is here from one of our themes which I sell.
    https://demo.syntaxthemes.co.uk/taurus/restaurant-menu/

This has been created using the shortcode.

Yes, that’s right. I’m trying to show all items in the one menu (desserts) like a blog roll.

Have a look at this, you see what I mean

    Please update to version 1.2.9.

I have now added html template files for each taxonomy in the plugin folder.
Your URL should work, if no try rebooting pretty permalinks.

    Also…..

If you wish to style the templates you have two options.
First – You just override the css classes.

Second – If you wish to add html to the template copy the template into your theme. But you must use the same template file structure as the plugin.

    For example its is Plugin/template/restaurant-manager/template-file.php
    In Your theme: Theme/template/restaurant-manager/template-file.php

Thank you for your rating and feedback, your a star.

Your example explained your issue perfectly, helping you has been a pleasure.

I can add a select all check box but it maybe wise to only display once you have filtered your query.

I really appreciate your input as a user, ur ideas and input is highly regarded I need more People to download this plugin and help expand on the idea. I want to make this plugin a real qualified solution and expand into desktop software.

Thank you skynet2029 for ur input!! Fantastic work
