• Really unreliable now, plugin still lacks the sophistication to skip smushing when the service it relies on is unavailable.

More could be done by WPMU, but they’re now using the description page to pimp their $25-$50 per month subscription service.

  • Hi @pixeldynamo, thanks for taking a moment to post your thoughts here though I’m very sorry to see you’ve been so unhappy with the plugin. ??

It’s actually based entirely on Yahoo’s smush.it service so we don’t have a lot of leeway to add new features to this version.

We’re keen on hearing suggestions like this though, really appreciate your taking the moment to post it.

We do mention our premium service as an alternative, nearly all plugins with premium options do as well. This free version doesn’t cost anything at all to use though.

I’d love to see if there’s some way we could change your mind with the review here, hoping that’s something you’d be willing to consider. ??

Good news, we’ve now just released our own free API version. You can now start smushing for free again! ??

Hopefully you’ll give it a try, love it, and revisit that review/rating again. ??

    Take care.
