This page is chock full of content, but when I go there it seems there is nothing there: https://futureisfiction.com/blog/burning-man-playlist/burning-man-playlist-and-scrapbook-vanished/

(Fun irony that the page is called Vanished.)

Here’s the HTML section of the page. I ran it through a validator with the HTML5 doctype, but coudn’t find whatever error is causing this. Other pages are showing up, though I think this happened once before.

The Code of the content, pulled from the edit page option:

    <h2>Crystal Castles – Vanished (Nasty Nav Remix)</h2>
It’s hard to wrap your mind around how big Burning Man is. More than 60,000 people, art and costumes as far as the eye can see, and farther. And all from participants: each group brought and made their own contribution. Once you manage to grasp enormity of this homegrown six-mile city, a new concept slaps you in the face: by the end of the week it will all vanish without a trace.

After the Man has burned and the new burn year has begun, the final burn is always the Temple. It is here that burners let go all they’ve been clinging to in the past year. If they’ve nothing to mourn, Temple is a time to let go of Black Rock City itself. For by the time the sun has set on Sunday, the tourists have already left town. And after the Temple burns, the rest of hardcore burners begin disassembling their camps. The family reunion is over. As the temple turns to dust, so does Black Rock City.

    The Fall of the Temple

The temple fell in such a beautiful swirl, that many wondered if it was designed to fall that way. What do you think?

  • If the correct url of the page is:
    https://futureisfiction.com/blog/burning-man-playlist/vanished/
Then whatever you added to the page has corrupted it and it stops at:
    <div class="entry-content">
So nothing is there to show on the page.
I’d delete whatever was added and start over.

Same issue – whatever you’re putting on those pages is toxic. Try switching to a default theme, and deactivating plug ins. Not much else anyone here can do.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply.

First I’m going to try and recreate the page on a fresh new page, item by item, to see what is breaking it. I’ll leave this ticket open until I figure it out, and report back whatever I do.

So a gallery is what caused the page to break.

However, this scrapbook I’m adding is full of galleries, there’s even already another gallery on this page. So being a gallery isn’t enough to break it. Going to see if changing it from thumbnails to something else will help.

Fun twist: I tried to paste the gallery in here, and I got the message from WordPress “You need to submit content in order to post!”

Apparently unless I use “Tiled Mosaic,” the gallery makes my entire post disappear. (Didn’t try the circle thumbs).

Next I’m going to see if there’s a theme or plugin related.

If the gallery is from a plug in, it could be enough to break things. You have to remember WP is comprised of many moving parts and those parts can be combined in billions of ways. Any update to WP core, a theme or a plug in can cause something to break in one of the other components. It’s impossible for the developers to take into account all possible combinations.
It sounds like you’ve hit a conflict that doesn’t generate an error, it just stops outputting anything (which is rare). My guess would be it’s something you recently updated or added.

I updated my plugins and the problem went away. My hunch is that it was the plugin Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack, which was among those updated.
