Trouble wriging new post aftter v3.4 upgrade

  • I upgraded to WP v3.4 and now when I click ‘add new post’ and start to write the font comes up white (which can’t be seen on the white background unless highlighted). Furthermore, the only thing present on the tool bar is the button for uploading media, everything else is missing (i.e. no buttons for linking selections to a url or simply changing font to bold, underlined, etc.).

    We even tried switching our theme from Canvas to something else but that did nothing and we’ve been assured it’s not a theme problem.

    We have also tried disabling all plugins and that did not help.

    Have you tried doing all of the below:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Also consider giving this a good read too.

    Once you’re deactivated all of your plugins and switched to the Twenty Eleven theme, clear your web browser’s cache and history. Then login again and see if the add new post is misbehaving.
