Hey. I am doing a first test of multi network. I have experience in multisite, but this is my first multi network.

Anyways, I installed a fresh copy of wordpress 4.7.4. Then, converted it to a multisite. Then, I installed this plugin.

After looking around a bit, I went ahead and added another site to the first network (the only one at this time). So, now I have network one root domain, and network one site two, using sub-directory. Ex. https://www.example.com/site-2/

Then, to test how multi-network would handle file path for uploads, I went to this site 2 and uploaded some media to it. It uploaded a file to the path on the server:

    /wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/4/filename.jpg

However, just after upload, the media tab showed a broken link in the file. After inspecting it, the file in the wordpress uploads showed

    /site-2/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/4/filename.jpg

Clearly not where the file actually went. Does anyone know how to help with this. I’m a bit at a loss.

One additional note, is that all sites created (yes, this wp multi network was network activated) all have their “Upload Path” settings blank. I know in other multi-site networks I’ve worked on automatically have this set to “wp-content/uploads” and not blank.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hey… Looks like I found the problem in some scripts that did WP install. Reinstalled WP and all is well.
