I’m having trouble with tracking on two sites. The same setup I use works flawlessly on about 20 other sites with the plugin, but for some reason I cannot get these two websites to track my form submissions. My first thought was a plugin conflict, but many of the working websites are running the same plugins as these sites and work. My next thought is perhaps a theme conflict?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve set up an example for click tracking on this page that does not seem to show in GA: https://www.ariilaw.com/test-event-page/

Another page I’m having trouble with is https://www.bartleyfinancial.com (the contact form is supposed to track but does not see to show in GA regardless of how I edit the settings)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @the9mm,

First of all, thanks for creating the test page for us.
On the first page, https://www.ariilaw.com/test-event-page/, I did see an event going out. It didn’t have a label, but it should be ok on Google Analytics. Can you take another look?

On the second site, there are two Google Analytics code snippets with a combination that confuses our plugin. I think that you are using both the legacy code (pre-Universal) and the Universal code via the MonsterInsights plugin.
If you don’t need both, and the first one is an old relic of the website, I would suggest removing it and keeping the MonsterInsight code.

    Thanks for responding!

I do now see the Test Event showing (it wasn’t showing before, no idea on that one). So that website is good!

As for the other one, I removed the addEventListener from the header.php. Can you check and see if there is another code snippet that may be confusing the plugin? The only thing remaining should be MonsterInsights, and in this instance I’m still not seeing anything show in analytics.

I can create another test page to look at if that will help.

The page still has the Google Analytics script loaded –
    <script type=”text/javascript” async=”” src=”https://www.google-analytics.com/ga.js”></script&gt;

This confuses our plugin and the reason it is not working on that website.
It may be part of the theme injected by something else.

Can you try and locate who is adding it?

Apparently there’s a spot in the theme for GA tracking (with not even the right UA code). I must’ve been missing one of them as I was probably logged in.

I removed that and gave it a test. Hopefully it should be resolved but I will have to check back on it in 24 hours to be sure.

I’ve given it a few more tests and still can’t seem to get anything to show from that site.

Is there anything else in the theme that may be conflicting?

Still no luck on this page. I’ve been testing and checking.

I have just checked GA and it is entirely possible it took more than 24 hours to propagate or otherwise. It appears to be working now.
