Trouble with source/medium for HTTPS site

  • This might not be an issue with this plugin, but I’m not sure how it works.

    I’m using a 301 redirect in htaccess to force https on all urls. I did this a couple days ago and noticed that in GA reports this has caused most of the google/organic traffic to show up as direct traffic instead.

    Any fix to this?

    In Google Analytics, what is your primary URL set to for the property? The http or https version of your site URL?

    Also in Google Webmaster tools, have you set the HTTPS version of your site to be the preferred domain?
