So i’m trying to add captcha to several forms on our site. The previous person setup the forms and things are working normally. I went to google and setup the reCaptcha account, but I’m not sure what the next steps are and can’t find a tutorial. Goggle references site and secret keys and Form Maker references public and private keys. I thought these might be the same thing so I entered site for public and secret for private (and tried the other way too), but neither shows a captcha prompt when I load the page. It just shows the field label with nothing underneath. I’m wondering if it’s related to the fact that it can tell I’m not a spambot, but how am I supposed to be able to test if I can’t see the thing that I’m testing? Can someone point me in the right direction at least?

Google makes reference to actually editing the site’s code with javascript tags, but I can’t do that in wordpress, can I?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @sajawors,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Dear user, in our form maker we also use Site key and secret key terminology, please see the screenshot https://nimb.ws/ztJH4b.If you don’t see things like this in the backend then please write which version of Form Maker you use?

The most important point here is that you SHOULD generate keys for the Recaptcha type you have in your form, like if you use Recaptcha V2 then you should generate keys form Recaptcha V2, not V3.

Please check these 2 points and if they won’t help you, then please let me know.

    Hi there,

Please help! I’ve been getting lots of spam messages through my Contact Forms, even though they had basic Captcha. Now, I’ve got reCaptcha, entered my keys and it all seems to be fine. However, nothing actually appears on my form.

I tested my form, sending myself a message. And protection seems to BE there and it IS working – it failed to send and it tells me me I need to be a human to send it. But then the captcha area doesn’t appear anywhere, so no one can actually send me anything…??

I’ve gone over the ‘design’ bit a hundred times, the text and cpatcha text colour are all set to white (the form is on a darker background, but anyway I tried dark text too… I also don’t know why the failing-to-send message also doesn’t come up in white but rather grey – which I can barely see on this background).

    Thank you!

    Hi @mayazack,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Can you please write which version of recaptcha you use?

Also please write which version of form maker you use?

Ans also please send me your form page URL to check styles issue.

    Hi Zhanna,

I’m using v2 (I already had it and not clear on whether I need to change that to v3, nor how, on my google registration – it doesn’t seem to allow me the option to change it).

For my contact form, I’m simply using the one provided in Divi in my layout.

You can see the form at the bottom of my Home page at https://www.youcandoanything.co.uk/

    Thank you!

    Hi @mayazack,

I am very sorry to get back to you late.

Dear user please try to generate a new key and make sure that while generating you have selected the Recaptcha version that you are going to use on your website.

Dear user, it seems that you ave removed the form from this page, can you please add it in any page and drop me a link o check the issue?

Hi, thanks but already managed to sort it out!
