Trouble with Pretty Permalinks and Yahoo

Hello. I’ve searched and read a number of threads on this, but most very old and of course closed.
Near end of rope — can’t find any way to have pretty permalinks since I’m hosted at Yahoo. Site is https://www.chrisparente.com
I need to do year/date/title format since that is the format I imported from four years of wp.com blogging. Otherwise the redirect breaks.
I’ve seen this partial work around, but the string match has to be exact, correct?
