Trouble with plugin upgrade

    Try switching theme to the default (twentyfifteen) and then try updating the plugin again.

    I’ve got hundreds of hours invested in the Avada theme and was afraid switching to another default theme might cause unexpected catastrophic damage! ??

    However, your suggestion got me to thinking I should delete and then reinstall contact-form-7.4.2.1. After activating the plugin, it saw my previously created contact form and now everything seems fine.
