Trouble with images after trying WebP

  • I’m really struggling. Tried to use WebP through smush. Now my images are showing up on some but not all browsers.

    Tried disabling plugins, tried giving folders the right permissions, nothing. if anything it has made my site worse.

    In wordpress, half my media doesn’t have thumbnails which wasn’t a big deal until new media not only doesn’t have thumbnails but also isn’t showing up.

    Can anyone help me with this?

  • WebP Images are widely supported but some browsers you might be using to test your site in may be older versions. Make sure you are running the latest version of the browser.

    Also, here is some info about what browsers support WebP images.

    The images are no longer served in webp and still aren’t showing up. Also, my media library is only showing half the thumbnails and new imports aren’t showing up correctly either.

    You need to do a media library rebuild then. Try using this plugin.
