Trouble with Image upload

When I write a post and try to add a picture from my computer, I get:
Specified file failed upload test.

I think I liked the old version better. Far more user friendly and I don’t like the new dashboard. What was wrong with the old one?

So, how do I upload an image? I’ve re-installed the new version, for all the good it did me. This is a photoblog that won’t display photos. Go figure.
