trouble with .htaccess file

    Hi, all –

    I just created a new WP site. I elected to put a wordpress subdirectory under the site’s main directory. In the past, I believe I used an .htaccess file to redirect to the wordpress subdirectory. I copied one and changed it, but it gives me an error. Can someone tell me what’s wrong with this code?

    # Use PHP5CGI as default
AddHandler fcgid-script .php
Redirect 301 / https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/index.php

    Disregard…I discovered an automatic .htaccess file generator and used it. Problem solved.
