Trouble with Gradient in Internet explorer

    Pulling my hair out getting a gradient that shows perfectly in Firefox to work in IE 8.

    tried playing around with this code in the syle.css

    filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr=’#00ffffff’, endColorstr=’#ffffff’,GradientType=0 ); /* IE6-9 */

    Tried deleting it and changing the # numbers but no change. Very frustrating.
