trouble with google analytics

  • At times, when I open my dashboard the google analytics widget shows the following error over and over again (about 10x), and then it shows the chart:

    unlink(/tmp/gad_cache_024e462fbca3eabe00cb6aa87b6c89d9.dat) [function.unlink]: Operation not permitted in /home1/thebleyt/public_html/equippingthesaints/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard/simplefilecache.php on line 112

    if I refresh the page it usually clears up. Why would this happen

  • Could be an issue within the plugin or a problem with your server’s configuration.

    rather than use a plugin i put the ga code into Appearance>Editor>Header.php just in front of the </head><body> tags.

    you will have to do that every time you change themes.
