• Hi, I’m using your great theme, but I have some troubels with the home and blog page of my new website.

I made a static page, instead of a blog. I want to use a blog, but not on my home page. I have 2 buttons on my homepage, one that I can’t remove (“Lichtkracht” in purple) and one that messes up the image if I remove it (“Welkom”). Somehow the image shrinks if I remove that button, plus it doesn’t show the whole image.
I looked in the theme manual, but can’t find anything. I tried to google, but I have no clue what to search for, and I tried to delete it in the text of the file, but I have no experience in working with html or php, so again no clue where or what to look for.

    2nd problem:
If I add a new blog, the website makes a link in the background to my home page and shows in the right column “meest recente bericht” (most recent post), which is fine, but it also shows some sort of preview below my welcome text (the Test test test). How can I delete the last?

I really want my site up and running, but I want it to look professional. Thanks for the help in advance!

    the website is test.volliefdeluisteren.nl

    Hey Esther,

thank you for choosing Bento! I’ll go over the questions in the same order:

    1. The extended header height has been designed as a feature to support the page title, i.e. provide a background for it as is quite fashionable these days ?? this is why the height of such a header is determined by the title height, otherwise there’s no way for the browser to position the title appropriately within the header. Since you’re not using a title on that page, your header height only depends on the buttons left inside (you can remove them in the “Static Front Page” tab of the “Appearance – Customize” admin section, btw). We’re working on an update to the header feature that will accommodate cases with no title, but so far you’ll need something as a title to provide the height reference. You can use the non-breaking space html entity ( ) for example.

    2. The “test test test..” item below the content on the front page comes from the grid – you’ve assigned a “Grid” template to your front page in the “Page Attributes” section on the right side of the page edit screen, try changing it to the default value and the items will be gone ??

Let me know if you face any problems with implementing any of the above fixes!

    Sincerely,
    Andrii / Satori Studio
