Trouble uploading photos

  • I’ve been trying to upload a photo to my site and get the following error message:

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 65798144) (tried to allocate 4272 bytes) in /home/refugee/public_html/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 162

    Any ideas?

  • Yes, resize and compress your images before uploading. Saves server space and loading time for your visitors.
    100 kB is enough for the web (except may be for foto sites).
    WP resizing leaves big files.
    I use Irfanview for simple foto jobs.
