I downloaded SG Optimizer to check PHP compatibility after hearing from WordPress it was preferable to upgrade to PHP 7. I installed and activated the plugin, which when run gave me the message my site was PHP 7-compatible and did I want to upgrade. After clicking the UPGRADE TO PHP 7 button I got an “Upgrading PHP” message. A few hours later (I kept the browser open) I checked and there was no change so I refreshed the page and it looks like my site crashed because I can view only code. Please advise ASAP.

If you mean the user area of WordPress site, well, that is the problem–ever since the incident I cannot access the WordPress platform behind my website. It appears only as code. If you mean another user area, I’m afraid I don’t know where to find that.

Hi, Ivan. I have another, separate WordPress site, and I can access the admin login there as usual. But when I try and access the admin login for my main site I get only code.

The check can time out because of multiple active plugins or other issues. Please, post a ticket in your Help Desk and we will look into it.

I have exactly the same issue – can anyone advise?
