[Plugin: Share and Follow] Trouble Upgrading Share and Follow

  • Is anyone else having problems with upgrading? My site either crashes (happened twice – the page was getting a “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance…” message for approximately 10 minutes – once the site is back up, it upgrades ok) and last time, I was unable to upgrade at all….it says that there’s something wrong with the archives. I am also unable to access the Share and Follow website. What’s going on?

    I use WP 3.0.1 on a Genesis theme.

    Hey prosperewebitor,

    We were forced in to getting a new webserver sorted out double quick time as our old hosting company let the site be down for too long. This site is now back up and running again and faster than ever.

    The only thing that has changed in recent time is the amount of images and their size, there has been no change in code. So I am wondering if it is a problem of file sizes where the ZIP is too big now for your server to successfully download?

    Of course you can download the plugin and FTP the contents up to the server overwriting the old stuff. This will give you the upgrade without any issues of file sizes.
