• Hey guys!
Please, sorry for my bad english :p
I am having one big (I mean, BIG) trouble since 4.2 wordpress update.
I cannot update any theme and/or plugin. WordPress give me the following error message:
The server closed the connection without sending the data.
And then I keept trying to update…
    Any suggestion?
    Please Help!!

    I am desperate :/

similar here… I can update plugins from the plugin page, but not the updater page. I cannot update themes at all. This is happening (seemingly) on multi-site installs, but stand-alone seem ok. Seems to be happening on a server with php 5.3.3 but seems ok on a server with php 5.4.x. I need to do more testing to be sure of those variables. A real bother!

    Try this:

Deactivate the plugins that needs an update. While they are deactivated, you should be able to update them.

Remember to activate the plugins again, when you’re done.

There doesn’t seem to be any pattern, to why this is happening to some users. But let’s hope WP releases a fix for it soon.

Your tip simply solve my problem. I did what you said and its done, working fine.
I do think WP will fix this issue as soon as possible.
Should i close this topic now?
    Thank you again.

    You’re welcome.

Maybe you should leave it open, until WP have solved the problem. Others might like to know this “trick” too ??
