• I’m having trouble setting up Dean’s Permalinks Migration. I had a permalink of time/month/day/post name… then installed WordPress and it was the default. But I want the time/month/day/post URLs to migrate to category/postname/ and I’m having tremendous troubles with it.

    Any advice? Help? Thanks

  • you should paste the htaccess permalink in your blog root’s .htaccess file

I don’t even have an .htaccess file for my blog root because whenever I put one up there it gives me a 500 error for any page I access…

Im having trouble with this plugin also, or any page migration method. Im trying to go from the default permalink to /%category%/%postname%/

    I not find a definite name for /?p= …/?p=%post_iid%… /?p=*.. who knows!

and the permalinks are changing but they are coming up 404

anyone know what I can do?
