Trouble Logging In

Can you restart the router and modem? Or try flushing the DNS on your computer – https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html

One other thing – just to be sure we’re not missing the obvious – your login info for WordPress.COM site, your new site and for these forums are all different (and unrelated to each other) – unless you just happen to have used the same info on them. So be sure you are actually entering the right info :)!

All of my logins are different. I can’t even get to my .org login, it automatically redirects me to .com. I tried clearing my computer’s DNS (thanks for the tip) and then cleared my cache again, but I’m still being redirected.

That sounds like a local computer, network or ISP issue – which browsers have you tried? Are you able to restart the modem/router (what’s your work situation)?

I can’t restart the modem, but they do some system updates every Thursday night, maybe that will solve the issue. Fingers crossed. Thanks for responding!

Oh, and I tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome.

Are you able to delete and then reinstall one of those browsers? (I know some work situations don’t let you do that kind of thing ?? .) Caching can be sticky sometimes.

I deleted and reinstalled Chrome. Still no go. As soon as I typed “b” into the address bar, https://beadsandbrass.wordpress.com/wp-login.php auto-filled. I tried deleting “wordpress” and it still redirects.

Definitely sounds like it’s cached someplace. Are you logged into Google? Possibly see: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95582?hl=en

I’ve tried clearing the cache multiple times.

I think it’s something to do with the system at work. I checked out the site on my phone at home and it was loading the updated site. I just checked on my phone at work (where I’m on wifi) and it’s loading the old site. I turned off the wifi so I’d be on 4G, hit refresh, and my phone loaded the updated site. Hopefully the system update tonight fixes the problem. I’ll just wait and see.

Yep, I think you are right :(. Cross fingers on that system update!
