• I’m having some problems installing wordpress on a localhost computer.

When I run the wp-admin/install.php I get the page saying that the ‘PHP no running’ error message, and it is.

I’ve checked my installation thoroughly and php is there installed and running perfectly, because it works with other apps, but not in this case.

Please help me figure out what is wrong.

    I’m running W7 64b,on a Phenon 4 and 4GB of RAM.

    Thanks

  • I’m getting “Packets out of order” and thought I had installed everything correctly as well. LOCALHOST can’t find the site, i’ve put in in it’s own directory, and installed wordpress in the same folder, and set up a database in MAMP, and two days ago it worked for a test, and now nothing. I get “Packets out of order” and have spent about 10 hours on this. And since I don’t have a degree in web development and planned to use WORDPRESS because I don’t have a degree in web development, all of this has been quite overwhelming. I thought I would be able to simply download wordpress, choose a theme, build a site, then upload it later. Very very frustrating. I’m running Snow Leopard on a MAC.

    I’m having the same problem.

I’m trying to run WordPres on my laptop in order to develop a CMS site.

Thanks for the help — Dave
