Trouble Installing phpMyAdmin

Hi,
I tried installing phpmyadmin on my server, but have had no luck. I’ve gone through the documentation over and over, tried everything I can think of, but still no dice.
I don’t know what to do, and end up wasting lots of valuable time. I would be grateful if someone could help me to get it installed and configured properly.
