Trouble getting the WP website to come up

    Hello, I just installed WordPress and selected a theme (Soul Vision) but nothing comes up on the website when I go to it except some generic ads: https://www.unlimitedlove.org

    Does anyone have a sense of what might be causing this? If I literally just installed WP, does it take some time before any content shows up at the URL or should it happen more quickly? I’m using 1and1 to host the website. Thank you for any feedback.

    I should have said – even when I preview the website with other themes (with twentyeleven and twentyten), the same thing displays, so I don’t think it’s the theme so much as something else. Thanks.

    Yes! Someone got in touch with me and told me that I needed to delete the “index.html” file that 1and1 automatically uploads to one’s site. After I deleted that file, it worked perfectly. Thanks for being willing to help out though!
