Trouble embedding Widget with the_widget

  • Im trying to display “Event Calendar 3 for PHP 5.3 Widget” in a non-sidebar field

    The source code when it is in the sie bar is:
    <div id=”upcoming-events” class=”widget ec3_widget_list”><h4 class=”widget-title”>Upcoming Events</h4><ul class=’ec3_events’><!– Generated by Event Calendar v3.1.4 –>
    <li class=’ec3_list ec3_list_day’>

    It’s not clear what the widget name is meant to be – ive tried lots of permutations but none show up
    so far ive got:

    <?php the_widget(‘upcoming_events’); ?>

    anyone able to shed light on this pl? ??

    btw this is a plugin which has a second plugin which makes it a widget which you can then drag into your sidebar – so i guess its still the widget i want to beable to code for
