• I am working with AJ Clarke’s “Fresh & Clean” theme (couldn’t find it in the directory which is why I didn’t posted in the Theme’s Extend Listing Page).

    1. I would like to edit the header font size and have followed instructions to do so in the Stylesheet. Each time I do this I get an error “The requested theme does not exist.” I have followed the troubleshooting suggestions on the forums to rename the FTP file, re-upload the wp-admin and wp-includes files, and to CHMOD the file to 755 (I didn’t know how to do any of this, so have spent a lot of time learning along the way). Still don’t seem to be able to make edits to the stylesheet.

    2. The theme advertises a featured content slider, and I see this in the .php and style.css files, but it does not appear to be functional. It doesn’t appear anywhere on the site.

    My site is https://www.buildingblocksalamedacounty.org

    Many thanks in advance!

Learned how to make a Child theme and that solved issues #1. Would still like some help on #2, though!

    Thank you!

Are you referring to the slider on the home page? To get that slider working:

    1. Go to “Slides” in the main menu
    2. “Add New” slide
    3. Put in your title/description
    4. Set your featured image per slide to correspond with the relating article
    5. Link your article in the ‘slide options’ panel

    Hope that helps.

Hi Dianna – I came across this post and have a question a bit off topic regarding the Fresh & Clean theme. Are you self hosting the theme or hosting via wordpress.com? I can’t get the theme to work outside of wordpress.com and I am not sure why??? THanks for any info

Hmmm… I too cannot get the slider to work.

Have tried what mcranston18 above suggests, to no avail.

On this page (https://www.wpexplorer.com/fresh-clean-wordpress-theme-by-wpexplorer) it just sort of implies that by uploading a big enough image as a featured image, it will ‘automatically appear’ in the slider.

    Any clues appreciated!!!!

(I can’t show the work at this point, it is a client site that is still under developement).
