Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out to MailPoet support.
I see you have been notified that your account requires Sender Domain Authentication. This is a new requirement for larger MailPoet accounts in order to conform to new policy changes by large email services such as Gmail and Yahoo.
Adding Domain Authentication will help ensure your emails continue to be delivered with a high degree of success and reduce spam complaints on your email list.
To authenticate your domain, you will need to add additional fields to your domain’s DNS settings to authenticate it with both MailPoet and add DMARC information, which is an industry standard. You will require someone with administrative access to your domain, in the account where it is registered, to make these changes.
You can find out more about how to add these fields to your website here:
https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/188-how-to-set-up-mailpoet-sending-service
And there more information on how these work here:
https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/295-spf-dkim-dmarc
Once you have added these fields to your website, any and all email addresses tied to your domain would be automatically authenticated for sending.
If required, we strongly recommend changing your “From” address on your emails to a domain-specific email such as [email protected]. Sending from a generic address such as a Gmail address can again result in an increase in spam reports due to recent changes in policy by Gmail and Yahoo.
You can change your main “From” address under MailPoet > Settings on the “General” tab; however, if you have recurring email templates such as Post Notification emails or Automation emails, the “From” setting on each will need to be updated as well.
