• Hello,

I was wondering if I can get a helping hand on something. I’m trying to create a static page (a link to a static .html file). When I create new page, the URL that is linked to is:

    https://www.(mysite).com/index.php/our-picks/

Now, even though I upload the file to the main directory, I get “/index.php/” in the path (as you can see above) and when I try and click on the new link that is created, I get a message saying “No input file specified.”

Is there another way to link to a file outside WP or am I doing something wrong? (Or is it some kind of bug? (least likely)

I hope I’ve been clear enough in stating my problem. Thanks in advance for your help!

Also, any idea why I keep getting the same message (“no input file specified”) when I click on calendar or Archive (for example on November 2007)?

Actually, for some reaason, no matter what I click on, whether it be a post title or a sidebar menu item, I get “no input file specified” even though a few days ago thing were working fine.

    https://www.(mysite).com/index.php/2007/12/01/picks-competition/

index.php keeps showing up in the URLs.

    Kinda frustrating… Any thoughts?

OK, problem solved. Was just a matter of turning the Permalinks back to default. But I guess I won’t be able to use custom or date-based Permalinks…
