I was just over at Ping-O-Matic to see if any new was going on, and when I clicked on stats, I got the following virus alert:

Time Module Object Name Threat Action User Information
12/6/2006 8:37:03 AM AMON file C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\L26M83QL\stats[1].htm Win32/Exploit.MS06-006 trojan quarantined – deleted MAIN\HP_Administrator Event occurred on a new file created by the application: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe. The file was moved to quarantine. You may close this window.

Is this a normal Ping-O-Matic function or truly a trojan virus?

Okay, sent an alert to Automattic. I also found this previous post relating the same problem in August, without resolve.

I’m guessing it’s nothing important, so I’ll go ahead and close this post as “resolved”
