Trigger Simple Modal Member Access Page

I am using a plugin, “Member Access” that allows me to have a page only viewable if logged in. My infrastructure is I have a page with a button that links to the protected page. “Member Access” detects if user is logged in and if not, redirects to the wp-login page. I want Simple Modal display. How do I trigger getting the popup modal? The button is already linked to the proteected page and I don’t know how to trigger overriding the wp-login page…here is what is in my url:
