Tried transferring from /wordpress to root and now I can't access WP…

I’d love to be able to get into Settings >>> General but I can’t even access the admin area!

You do not have to log in admin as it will not work Follow the video and use the method you are comfortable with.

I changed my settings and then moved the dns to point to /site. The site pulls up but now when I try to login to my admin it comes back with an error 500. I’ve checked in the database and the settings are pointing to the domain instead of domain/site and I’ve tried resetting my .htaccess which didn’t fix it. Any ideas?

thank you govpatel! I’m in and have changed it back to https://www.masterpieces.ltd.uk/wordpress but the pages are going to 404 errors – can;t understand why?

Any thoughts?

I can login but once I enter the username and password and it forwards to wp-admin that is where I get the error.

@opiyouk In settings permalinks switch to default and see if the links work if they work switch back to custom structure.

Where in the database is that located?

@jacobadoy for database you need log in on your host server and click on PhpMyAdmin

@govpatel – I tried transferring over again, using the WP guide within the admin panel, to the domain and it’s still not working – the index page is working but then it will change back within minutes.

I’ve just checked and I’ve still got /wordpress in the functions.php file. Could this be the problem? Just wanted to check before transferring it back?

Once you have reset your urls using functions.php you need go back in file delete them two lines at top.
