    Hi there,

I’m trying to use your plugin with Progress Map WordPress Plugin. I spoke with the developer because the tribe_events post type was not displaying my events from your plugin. He has said that it seems like the tribe_events post type is not public and cannot be detected by other plugins. SO, he has asked me to ask you…

Are custom post types used within the plugin public? And can they be used with other plugins?

    Howdy techretaries,

The Events post type is actually public. Our calendar is also open source, so the dev can take a look for himself if he has questions. The information y’all are looking for can be found here on line 49:
    https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/develop/lib/the-events-calendar.class.php

As for if they can be used by other plugins, that really really depends on your definition of used. The best way to find out if our plugin can do something is either to look at the source if your are that sort, or to take the working plugin for a spin. We also have our docs and tuts to help lower the barrier to entry therec which can be found on our website.

    I hope that helps. Cheers!

    – Brook
