First: This Plugin is actually exactly what I was looking for, great work Camile!

Unfortunaltely I did not get it to work on my two-language Site, which is running with WPML.

    German: https://www.nautilus-bay.com/ZRLS/de/davor/
    English: https://www.nautilus-bay.com/ZRLS/en/restaurant-and-pizzeria-davor/

The problem is, that in the Translation of a Posts the Travelers’ Maps metadata is somehow not referenced. I could edit every translated post and geo-tag the translated posts a second time, but that idea look akward to me.

Do you have any ideas? Maybe it is more of a WPML question?

    Thanks for any help,
    Florian

    Dear Florian,

Thank you for the bug report. I have no idea how WPML works, I will have to do some more research to know what’s wrong ??
I’ll come back to you when I have some news.

    Have a nice day,

    Dear @fschupp Florian,

Since I don’t have a WPML licence, I applied to the developer Licence to fix the problem, it can take some days to process my application.

In the meantime, could you test and tell me if it works to “geo-tag the translated posts a second time” ? That would help me a lot.

    Hi @socrapop,

thanks for looking into the issue so quickly!

The answer yo your question is Yes and No.

    1. Yes, I can geo-tag the translated post a second time post. Then I can see the marker of that translated and geo-tagged post on the map with the option “this_post=true”

    Original: https://www.nautilus-bay.com/ZRLS/de/xxx/
    Translated an tagged again: https://www.nautilus-bay.com/ZRLS/en/xxx/

    2. No, it will not show up in the map (on the right side) where all markers of posts should appear

    Best,
    Florian

    Dear @fschupp Florian,

I’m sorry it’s been a long time, I contacted WPML support 3 months ago, and they replied just recently, only to send me a tutorial that had nothing to do with my problem…

I recently updated the plugin (v1.8.0) to add compatibility with Polylang, so I better understand the problem now, but I still don’t have access to a WPML licence to test my code…

Would you be willing to test some beta version of the plugin in your website? That would imply saving your website (to avoid something going wrong) and sending me the FTP credential to your website.
I can understand if you don’t want to do that because you don’t know me, but anyway do not hesitate to contact me at this email adress to see if we can do something together:

Dear Florian, I’m glad to say that I received a developer licence for WPML, and updated the plugin yesterday to fix everything !

Maps are now fetching every markers in the current language !
I also added a button in Travelers’ Map settings to synchronize every marker from default language to their respective translated posts. So you don’t need to do it by hand post by post ??

Have a nice day, do not hesitate to post another support ticket if something doesn’t work as expected (but it should as I did a lot of tests)
