Trash button on editor does nothing!

    Hello. I am using wordpress with a theme. I am using the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin to visually add and remove content. I am trying to remove content using the Trash button, but it does nothing! please help. i cant delete sections of the page. the trash button is useless!
