Transposh Plugin Causes Post/Page Editing Glitch

  • I had the Transposh plugin activated with the Hueman theme.

    For some reason, when I opened my visual post or page editor, I couldn’t click “update” without the text disappearing. When I switched to HTML, the text was still there, and the strange thing is when I clicked on HTML and then back to Visual, the text shows up in Visual again. But sometimes after I clicked update, the revisions just simply deleted themselves. The actual page (on the actual website) reflected exactly what the HTML says.

    I tried deleting the browser cache, to no avail. I had about 22 plugins and a theme, and started deleting each one by one until I got down to Transposh and 6 other plugins (Google Analytics, Clicky, WP Statistics, Subscribe to Comments Reloaded, W3 Total Cache, and Akismet, so it probably wasn’t a compatibility issue with a plugin). After I deactivated Transposh, the words appeared after I clicked “Update.” What is causing this glitch?

  • I’ve experienced the same thing. With Transposh activated the visual editor shows blank, after updating a post. Switching back and forth from Text to Visual gets it to show again. Perhaps it’s just not compatible with the current version of WordPress?

    There is no fix for it, other than Transposh update; the last versión, 0.9.9.1, is tested up to WordPress version 4.3 by the developer.

    In my own test, upgrading and downgrading versions, works fine until WordPress version 4.4.

    For WP version 4.5 and above, using the plugin with the new JavaScript libraries in WP seem to conflict with the editor, especially with the newly introduced INSERT LINK interface.

    With VC 5.0 also fails. no news for this?

    transposh autor don′t have any solution.

    I fixed this issue by updating the following file in the transposh plugin:

    \wp-content\plugins\transposh-translation-filter-for-wordpress\core\constants.php

    I changed line 121 to this: define(‘JQUERYUI_VER’, ‘1.12.1’);

    1.12.1 was the latest version at the time of this post but I suppose you can go try other jqueryui versions that are available here: https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/#jquery-ui
