Transparent Logo Issues & Solutions So Far
-
Both offering help and asking for some with this!
I had an unusual problem recently with the transparent logo PNG I had made to put in the Pique site header displaying with a white background, instead of a transparent one. This happened only in very specific circumstances:
-On the site I installed Pique on (not my other WordPress sites in the same browser)
-On Firefox-based browsers only (tested Firefox & IceDragon, which failed, and Chrome, Opera, and Samsung, which passed)
-When using a PNG made by my friend in Photoshop (Another PNG with a transparent background made on an image-generator site worked fine). My temporary fix for this, which will do for now, was simply to convert the file to a GIF and upload it. It works. (Although I would like to get it working with PNG at some point as that seems to be better practice.)
Posting in case anyone else has the same weird issue, and this helps them figure out what’s going on!
Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get my proper logo working in PNG, I’m open to them. I won’t be trying them until later but I’m not sure where to go next when I come back to this, and it might help others with the same issue.
Also a warning: If you’re not working in Firefox when building your Pique site, this might be something to check for before you launch!
