Transparent Content block in Single Post view

    Currently my blog articles are hard to read because the writing of each post clashes with my background in Single Post view. I am looking to add a transparent content block similar to the rest of my site, where the background image of my site is slightly visible, yet allow my posts to be read easily.     Notice how it is hard to read the post, especially anything in the sidebar. I would like to know how I can add a transparent block for all of my articles when they are clicked on to be read fully. Thank You
