Transparent background in customizer
-
I was on WP 4.7.3 with a child theme of WP-Forge, and I’m using a transparent image in my header. I don’t want a background color — there’s an underlying image and I want the header to be overlayed. Originally, I specified “” (nothing) as the “Header Content Background Color,” and that allowed the background to be transparent.
The latest theme update seems to use “#ffffff” as the default, and I can’t figure out how to change that to “transparent.” The customizer only allows hex values, and since the default is now set to white, it is unclear how to render it transparent.
I am currently using a !important CSS rule to override it, but that’s sloppy.
Is there another workaround?
