    I use the share buttons that were in my purchased template. FB, Twitter and mailto work correctly, but after sharing on Pinterest, a dark gray, translucent background appears behind the share window, which will remain there even after the share window is closed. In the center is an icon of a badly loaded image and in the upper right corner there is a cross to close. It does this on the desktop and on the mobile.
    After the Jetpack has been deactivated, the background is not displayed so I guess it is associated with it. Can I turn it off?

    Hi there,

    The only reason I can think of for this is that your theme’s built-in sharing buttons are causing a conflict with Jetpack’s sharing buttons, in which case this is something that would need to be fixed on your theme’s side.

    But if you won’t be using Jetpack’s sharing buttons, you can just disable the Jetpack sharing module, which should also prevent this.

    Jetpack → Settings → Sharing
    – disabled all

    Settings → Sharing
    – I don’t see this setting there (probably due to jetpack sharing turned off?)

    Does not help, is there another option from the Jetpack?

    Right. You need Jetpack enabled before you can make that change.

    If Jetpack’s sharing settings are already disabled, then Jetpack cannot be having any effect on this.

    As the sharing buttons experiencing the issue is controlled by your theme, please contact their support directly for help. Even if Jetpack is conflicting with your theme somehow, that’s something your theme’s developers would need to fix on their end.
