• I have WordPress 4.9.1 installed.
After updating the wordpress translations there is an un-workable bug:
All dashboard buttons, such as ‘save changes’ / ‘update user’ / ‘add new media’ .. in different setting areas, instead of the button working it automatically downloads a .php file of that section, to my computer!
At first, I wasn’t sure it is related to this update and I had to reinstall WordPress, then it happened twice more only after I updated, so I am certain.

All downloaded files have the same text content:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”>
    <html><head>
    <title>200 OK</title>
    </head><body>
    <h1>OK</h1>
<p>The server is temporarily unable to service your
request due to maintenance downtime or capacity
    problems. Please try again later.</p>
    </body></html>

  • This surely is a misconfiguration server side or some weird settings in your .htaccess file or so but nothing we can solve. You may need to contact your hoster for assistance.
