Maybe, you can consider inclusion of PO and MO files, in order to save external plugin usage.

I’ve uploaded .MO and .MO files in spanish, but plugin is still displaying strings in english.

I did it, I’m usine POEDIT for translations.
I uploaded PO and MO files in WP-CONTENT/LANGUAGES/PLUGINS and in PLUGIN/ETC/I18N.

Strings are displayed always in english.
