    Hello,

I have a made few popups with your great and simple plugin and all work fine in the original language. But when going through translation the “data-trigger-click” get lost.

I can’t see the attribute string “data-trigger-click” in the advanced translator when searching for it, nor in the string translation section of WPML.

    Thanks

    Hello Rohit @mrrohitbhardwaj ,

    https://lob.groupe-lob.com/en/

You have 2 links on the home page and one link in the footer, all three pointing towards the unique popup that is set in the footer to be available on all the pages via the footer menu item. It’s named #support-a-distance

    • the support icon on the top left of the screen,
    • the online helpdesk as a button in the section above the footer
    • and in the footer on remote support as a menu item.

Note that on the https://lob.groupe-lob.com/en/services/#web section in the Website Maintenance Packages and Website Creation accordions, have inserted links to some popups and these work and got automatically translated just fine. Note also the popups are residing on that page.

I have been doing some tests because the only none working popup was residing in the footer (apart of the page where the links are).

So I added a second popup on the home page itself. It’s named #support-a-distance-on-page and changed the links of the icon and the button, now this popup works on the translated home page. You can see it by clicking on these.

Now the footer menu item still does not work from translation but does in the original language.

So if my logic is right, if the popup reside in the page where it’s called, it does get the data-trigger-click added (copied) in translation.

As explained in the first paragraph I would like to have a single popup for the support that can be called from the home page and any page from the footer menu item.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks,

    Hi @marcdegagnelob,

Thank you for sharing the detailed information.

Using our internal tools, I checked and confirmed your site URL: https://lob.groupe-lob.com/en/ (English Version) and found that the number of active popups on your site is one.
    Popup: #support-a-distance-on-page
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuzrvYL

Similarly, I checked and confirmed your site URL: https://lob.groupe-lob.com/ (French Version) and found that the number of active popups on your site is two.
    Popup: #support-a-distance-on-page
    Popup: #support-a-distance-on-footer
    See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guNEzkJ

    (English Version)

Since only a single popup is active on your English Version, i.e., #support-a-distance-on-page, the footer link on the same version no longer works as the URL: https://lob.groupe-lob.com/en/#support-a-distance-on-footer is pointing to a popup #support-a-distance-on-footer which doesn’t exist.

I will recommend that you reconfirm the number of active popups on your page and the associated URL linked with the button.

Note: Regarding the “data-trigger-click” attribute. Our plugin adds this attribute after the page loads, and it should not be manually defined.

The issue arises due to a missing popup on the page.

I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions. Thank you.

    Hello Rohit @mrrohitbhardwaj ,

    Thanks for your reply!

I redid the tests and I must conclude, in the context of translation, WPML was automatically adding /en/ in front of the #support-s-distance anchor and from which it was a full URL after. So Popups for Divi would probably not take it in consideration to make the popup open.

    Problem is now solved!

NOTE: WPML, in the advanced translator by default, it does not show the links, we have to search for it in the search bar.

    Hi @marcdegagnelob,

Thank you for updating your status. I appreciate.

As you have mentioned, the problem is solved; I am marking the issue as resolved. Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions. Thank you.
